Land and Housing

Ts’uubaa-asatx is committed to providing housing opportunities for its members while maintaining control over land ownership and infrastructure development within the community. By prioritizing sustainable growth, accessibility, and long-term planning, we aim to ensure that every member has access to safe, suitable housing and essential community amenities.

Housing for Ts’uubaa-asatx Members

Our goal is to ensure that all members have access to housing that meets their needs, now and in the future. This includes:
✔ Conducting an annual housing needs report to assess current demand and track progress.
✔ Building a variety of housing types, including homes for elders, staff, and growing families, with options that support aging in place.
✔ Developing a home renovation program to assist members in adapting their homes for accessibility, family changes, and general upkeep.
✔ Providing community workshops to educate members on home ownership and housing opportunities.

Community Infrastructure & Growth

As Ts’uubaa-asatx continues to grow, we are investing in essential infrastructure and amenities, such as:
✔ Completing North Shore Estates and managing taxation, utilities, and services.
✔ Assessing community needs and planning capital projects like a community centre, youth space, and gym.
✔ Partnering with organizations to expand capacity and enhance development opportunities.
✔ Developing a wastewater pump station to support future growth, including campsites for RVs and other campers.
✔ Expanding the band office to meet the administrative needs of our growing community.
✔ Updating zoning plans to ensure balanced development, protecting environmental areas while identifying suitable locations for housing and community spaces.

Through strategic planning and investment, Ts’uubaa-asatx is creating a strong foundation for future generations.
